I first met Nicola when she was a tiny teen going through a rebellious purple hair stage. Our relationship as photographer and client grew as I captured many life moments, family sessions, births, and on the 3rd of March, her wedding to her soul mate Luke.

My morning started at Nicola's mum's family home in Heybridge on the North West Coast of Tasmania. Documenting and capturing a short film (sneak peek of that to follow) while Nicola and her crew busied themselves getting ready for the day's main event.

Meanwhile, my second shooter Nikki from Barefoot & Windswept, headed to Luke in Devonport to capture the groom's tribe preparations. They walked the short distance to the lovely Home Hill to greet the celebrating guests and Janelle Wilson from Marry Me Tasmania, one of our favourite celebrants.

A few moments throughout the nuptials struck my emotional side, but one that I cannot move past is the image of Nicola smiling so boldly at her goofy Luke. All that anxiety, stress, and worry in. the lead-up to the day was washed away. Luke and Nicola are the perfect lovers who created the most adorable family.

I am so thankful to be there to capture such an important moment for such an incredible family.
